About Me

I find that it is very important for me to stop every now and then to get recharged and reinspired. The beauty of nature has been one of the great inspirations of my life.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC #3482-125) and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC #75669) practicing in the state of Wisconsin and offer therapy both in office and via telehealth.  I have a passion for mental wellness and work within a holistic model that incorporates both body and mind.

Outside of the therapy space, I find restorative balance within nature and raise monarch butterflies. The monarch has always been a beautiful symbol of growth and transformation, a transformation that begins with an egg as small as the tip of a pencil point, and transforms into something vastly different than it's pre-chrysalis characteristic black/white/yellow striped caterpillar body. Once it is fully grown as a caterpillar, it sheds its skin and becomes an exquisite jade color as a chrysalis.  For a period ranging between 10-14 days, there is something taking place inside, though it is not obvious from the mere appearance on the outside.  And then, the clarity within the chrysalis becomes visible, as the jade colored outer shell becomes clear, and the black and orange monarch coloration begins to show.  And, within a day, a monarch butterfly emerges.  It's a fascinating process to observe.

And, it offers HOPE.  Hope that even as we may find ourselves in a place in our lives that feels stuck and dark or enclosed or like we are trapped within the thoughts, narratives, or lived experiences that have hindered our ability to grow and transform, there is the possibility that we, too, can do the inner work needed to create the change we desire so that at some point, we emerge transformed.

We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.
